Andrew A. Chen
Principal Investigator
Assistant Professor of Biostatistics

Andrew Chen leads the MUSING lab and is a faculty member in the Department of Public Health Sciences at MUSC. He develops statistical methodology for image analysis and collaborates with investigators across neuroscience, psychiatry, and neuropsychology. His research centers around data harmonization, multimodal data integration, and nonparametric statistics. Outside of research, he also enjoys tennis, climbing, fishing, and several other pastimes.

Yao Xin
Ph.D. Student

Yao is a Ph.D. student in biostatistics at Department of Public Health Sciences at MUSC. Her research interests are in longitudinal analysis and imaging statistics. Some of her research and previous research has focused on cancer survival, mental health outcomes, and socioeconomic determinants of health, including perceived discrimination and housing security.

Yao has a biomedical background from her undergraduate, and received an MS in biostatistics from New York University.
